Job Description Trade Product manager Digital Adoption
Key result areas:
Drive (trade products) for banks domestic and overseas branches/subsidiaries. Transaction
banking business currently focuses on working capital related facilities for clients mainly
letters of credit, guarantees, trade loans, remittances, etc. Over a period of time as a bank we
have developed a range of digital products to suite the customer needs. Hence it is expected
that the Trade Product Manager Digital Adoption expected to understand the product and the
functionality available with the bank to demonstrate the capability of the banks digital Trade
products to the client.
Help the client in smooth onboarding process by handholding the clients wherever necessary,
Support customer with relevant training during the initial stages and to resolve any technical
issues customers may face with the support of Trade product tech and with the support to BTG.
Main activities would also include analysis and review of competitors activity in the Trade Digital
products and to highlight competitors advantages if any to the central team. This feedback is
important for us to correct and re-deliver the enhanced features to the client.
This would require understanding the market specific business environment. Competitors
activities, Competitors digital penetration and their share by doing market research.
Understanding the trade products like letters of credit, guarantees, cross border remittances,
bills along with understanding the digital products is a key requirement
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver overall fee numbers in Transaction banking for domestic locations
Develop business plans specific to products that will encompass market analysis, product
definition, competitive digital landscape and revenue strategy
Co-ordinate with relationship teams domestic and at overseas locations to scope out
opportunities, identify and execute new areas of revenue generation and develop digital
products that suit customers in specific business corridors
Drive bank line business Digital scoping of customer and onboard client in Trade digital
product suite including TOL, H2H and API banking, WhatsApp banking,
Engage with internal control groups with trade subject matter expertise as and when
required
Drive technology platforms conceptualization and implementation and conduct review with
senior management on digital adoption in the market assigned
Handle senior management presentations towards location specific digital strategy
(existing/new locations)
Key skills
Expert knowledge and awareness of trade finance products, UCP, ISP, ISBP, URR
Knowledge of regulations RBI, PMLA, OFAC, FATF
Adept at working with spreadsheets including data analysis,
Understand new technological developments in the market, how to enhance our digital
product features to delivery best digital products to the client to be the leader in the market.
Good interpersonal skills – ability to coordinate as well as drive results telephonically across the region.
