Assistant Fashion Designer Full Time
Assisting the senior designer & Understanding of the different fabrics.
Visit manufacturers or trade shows to get fabric samples.
Select fabrics, embellishments, colors and style for each garment or accessory.
Knowledge about stitching.
Study fashion trends and anticipate designs .
Decide on a theme for a collection, Sketch designs, Select fabrics, embellishments, color, or style for each garment.
Work with other designers or team members to create a prototype design.
Present design ideas to head of department .
Designing range as per key trends.
Should follow strict deadlines as assigned by the head of the department.
Knowledge of concept, colors palettes, prints, patterns, product direction.
Conduct regular competitor and market analysis.
Knowledge in sourcing of materials/trims, fabrics for garment
Create or visualizing an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer.
NOTE:It is mandatory to send the below mention assignment along with your resume i.e. resume sent without the assignment will not be shortlisted for the second round.
Assignment are as follows:
1. Design an artwork for a mens pocket square keeping a luxury
bespoke menswear brand in mind
2. Create a weave apt for menswear
3. Create a menswear illustration
4. Write 100-200 words describing a classic Bandhgala, you
could attach an image of the product that you are writing about
for our referral.
