Job Description
The HSE Manager is a key position and normally sits as part of the senior management team. The HSE Manager is responsible for monitoring the safety, occupational health and environmental performance of operations at onshore or offshore production installations, and any associated subsea installations. In addition, they provide advice on safety, health and environmental issues to all levels of personnel in order to ensure working practices, procedures and systems meet statutory requirements and industry and Company standards.
Typical duties
Provides advice and assistance to Line Managers and Supervisors on all aspects of safety and occupational health concerning the production installation and operations performed
Advises on environmental issues where appropriate, with support from specialist Environmental Advisors
Provides advice and guidance to Line Managers and Supervisors on all matters related to Hazards Identification and Risk Management Develops and reviews Emergency Response plans
Ensures that all Emergency Response Team roles are filled by appropriately trained, competent and experienced personnel and regular exercises are conducted
Instigates and conducts incident investigations, recording, and reporting all incidents to identify causes and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence
Manages company Occupational Health and Hygiene standards in accordance with UK Legislation,
