The appointed Brand Guardian will be responsible for upholding various brands integrity via understanding the respective guidelines. The work is very fast-paced and often requires the application of judgment in conceptualisation, design and layout decisions. The Brand Guardian will be required to interpret numerous client requirements, utilising his/her ability and experience to guide the team, make creative / design decisions and maintain respective brands integrity.
The Brand Guardian needs to ensure that the studio members in India are always up to date and trained on the latest brand and campaign guidelines. He/she will be the information holder and key personnel in India GDC for all brand design questions and be able to make creative decisions based on his knowledge. The Brand Guardian is also expected to communicate directly with the clients brand team to remain aligned with understanding of the brands.
It will be part of the Brand Guardians key responsibility to ensure that the various production / media channels produce high quality and brand compliant work for the client.
Job Responsibilities:
Attend brand training
Work with all members of the brand team over a range of campaigns to fully understand clients brand requirements for visual and graphic campaigns
Toolbox workshop
Take creative brief from Overseas Brand Team and Brief studio team in Chennai
Familiarise with campaign guidelines
Gather campaign knowledge to share with team across print and digital
Feedback any questions to the designated brand guardian.
Support Chennai studio with any artwork/creative questions
Retain brand ownership throughout
Check files for brand integrity
Check typography
Ensure compliance approval for brand-based work deliverable
As part of the Business Excellence team
o Track and report key quality data for the brands
o Ideate/contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives
Experience and Qualifications:
The candidate may have 5-10 years of experience in the roles requiring following skill sets: Designer, Print Production, Digital Production, Brand Management, HTML5/CSS3, Creative Design, XML, Artworking, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, visual proofing, eye for detail
Assertive communicator – Confident but not arrogant can advise / mentor others.
Should be able to communicate effectively with clients and onshore counterparts in the US and UK also
Pro-active this is not rules based work if adaptations do not look visually appealing even when guidelines have been followed suggest alternative solutions
