BHUBANESWAR: After anti-drug declaration by students in education institutes, lecturers may now need to submit a similar declaration. The assembly standing committee has recommended to state government to introduce a provision to make lecturers also submit anti-drug declaration in colleges.
“There is no point if everyone on the campus does not quit substance abuse. Our objective is to keep educational campuses free of substance abuse and the rule should be applicable to students and lecturers as well. We have advised the government to ensure that students submit an anti-drug declaration before taking admission in educational institutions. Similar rules should be there for the lecturers as well,” said chairman of assembly standing committee, Bhupinder Singh.
