Myntra acquires India rights for UK fashion brand Next
Bengaluru-based fashion retailer Myntra has acquired the India distribution rights for UK-based fashion brand Next in a deal that pushes Next towards its goal of greater global expansion.

As a part of deal, Myntra will open eight to 10 Next stores across key Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru over the next two years.
Additionally, Myntra will scale the brand’s online presence to help Next further boost its online sales on the platform.
Commenting on the partnership, Nandita Sinha, CEO of Myntra in a statement said: “We are thrilled to deepen our association with Next and strategically build its omnichannel presence in the country. With a successful trajectory of growing Next online in India, our first year of working together has resulted in establishing the right product, audience, and price fit in the country.”
Simon Wolfson, CEO of Next added, “We are hugely excited to be working with Myntra in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets and very much look forward to seeing what can be achieved together.”
Founded in 1982, Next has over 700 wholly owned and franchise stores spread across the globe but its core focus has been the UK where it’s one of the most successful fashion, beauty and homewares retailers.
